[edit] Overview
An Analyst or End User can log in manually.
[edit] Resetting a Password
If the user has forgotten the password, it can be reset by an admin with these procedures:
[edit] Login Authentication Setting
The Login Authentication setting needs to be set to LSD in order to authenticate an Analyst or End User through the manual login page.
[edit] Procedure
The Main Home Page is the page that opens when you launch the application:
http://server/laytonservicedesk/Login.aspx
In a default configuration, there is a login button for Analysts and End Users. The user clicks the appropriate button and provides their username and password.
[edit] Bypassing the Main Home Page
It may be desirable to bypass the Main Home page, e.g. publishing a link to an intranet that will take End Users directly to the End User login page.
[edit] Analyst Login Page
The Main Home Page can be bypassed with this URL:
http://server/laytonservicedesk/Loginuser.aspx
The Analyst login page will open. The Analyst provides their username and password.
[edit] End User Login Page
The Main Home Page can be bypassed with this URL:
http://server/laytonservicedesk/Logineuser.aspx
The End User login page will open. The End User provides their username and password.
