Overview

An Analyst or End User can log in manually.

Resetting a Password

If the user has forgotten the password, it can be reset by an admin with these procedures:

The Main Home Page is the page that opens when you launch the application:

   http://server/laytonservicedesk/Login.aspx

In a default configuration, there is a login button for Analysts and End Users. The user clicks the appropriate button and provides their username and password.

Bypassing the Main Home Page

It may be desirable to bypass the Main Home page, e.g. publishing a link to an intranet that will take End Users directly to the End User login page.

Analyst Login Page

The Main Home Page can be bypassed with this URL:

   http://server/laytonservicedesk/Loginuser.aspx

The Analyst login page will open. The Analyst provides their username and password.
