Overview
As a diagnostic tool, Support may ask for a log to be created during the installation process.
Instructions
1. Navigate to where you have stored the installer. For example:
F:\Software\Layton Technology
2. Copy the full path.
3. In the Start Menu, enter cmd.exe. Right-click the cmd.exe application and select Run as Administrator.
4.Enter the following command and press the Enter key, substituting your folder path:
cd F:\Software\Layton Technology\Layton ServiceDesk
5. The current path will be active. Enter the following command and press the Enter key to verify:
cd
6. Enter the following command and press the Enter key:
msiexec /i LaytonServiceDesk.msi /L*V lsd_install.log
7. This will write a text file called lsd_install.log into the folder path. The file will likely be large. Zip and send it to Support.
