Internet Information Services (IIS)
If not already installed, for example you will be installing Layton ServiceDesk on a workstation or a laptop, you can install IIS in the Add/Remove Windows Components interface in the Add or Remove Programs control panel.
The following is the required Roles and Role Services to be installed for IIS:
Allow ASP.NET Web Service Extension
The ASP.NET extension will need to be allowed in IIS. See here for steps.
.NET Framework 3.5
If this is not installed, download from here and install.
SQL Server
If you don't have any version of SQL Server installed, you can download the free SQL Server 2005 Express edition from here. You will also need the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 2005, which you can download from here. Note that Management Studio 2005 can also be used to manage MSDE, SQL 2000, SQL 2005 and SQL 2008 servers.
