AuditWizard - Troubleshooting - AuditWizard Service Won't Start
Contents |
Overview
Generally, the AuditWizard service is run under a domain-user account. In some configurations, this may not work. An example would be a set of computers, including the AuditWizard server, that aren't on a domain. A domain account can't be used with this configuration. The service must be configured to run under the Local System account. In this configuration, the service may be started manually but may not automatically start on system startup.
Workaround
Microsoft provides a workaround.
This has been successfully implemented with the timeout length set to 65000 and, in Windows Services Console, the Startup type for the AuditWizardService service set to Automatic (Delayed Start). The combination of the two results in the service starting about three minutes after Windows boots.
