Overview
A new version of the Audit Scanner executable is not always provided when the application is updated. However, when it is provided, it must be redeployed to maintain compatibility. The release notes will indicate if the Scanner has been updated.
Redeployment
- Go to your network share.
- Delete the scanner folder.
- Go to Administration > Auditing > AuditScanner Configuration.
- Ensure that your settings are correct.
- Click the Deploy to Network button in the Ribbon. This will create a scanner folder in \\SERVER\SHARE\ and copy the AuditScanner.exe and configuration file into that folder.
Full Manual Redeployment
Occasionally it may be necessary to replace the Scanner in the Program Folder and network share manually as a troubleshooting measure. A new or beta Scanner may be supplied by Support for testing purposes.
- In Windows Explorer, go to C:\Program Files (x86)\AuditWizard v8\.
- Move AuditScanner.exe elsewhere as a backup.
- Copy the replacement AuditScanner.exe into its place.
- Go to your network share.
- Delete the scanner folder.
- In AuditWizard, go to Administration > Auditing > AuditScanner Configuration.
- Ensure that your settings are correct.
- Set Re-Audit Interval to 0 days, to allow for a test.
- Click the Deploy to Network button in the Ribbon. This will copy the AuditScanner.exe and configuration file to your network share.
