Overview
The installation method for AuditWizard 8.4.5 has been changed from an executable package (.exe) to the Windows Installer patch file format (.msp). Some users may encounter errors in attempting to run the upgrade installer.
Workaround
Database Upgrade
When the upgrade installer runs successfully, it modifies the database. If you can't run the upgrade installer, the database can be updated manually using a SQL script in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
- Back up your database.
- Download the AuditWizard 8.4.5 Upgrade SQL script.
- Open the SQL script in Management Studio.
- Select the AuditWizard database in the Available Databases menu in the upper-left of the window:
- Execute the script.
Clean Reinstallation
- Download the 8.4.5 Full installer.
- Follow the Clean Reinstallation procedure, which will install 8.4.5 and connect to your upgraded database.
