Application & Copy of Live Database

Use Case

To test the application with your existing database without affecting the live system.

Procedure

  1. Back up your SQL database.
  2. Restore the backup with a different name, on the same SQL server or a different one.
  3. Install as per New Installation. When the Database Tool opens, connect to the database copy, not the live one.
