Should you need to reinstall for any reason, we recommend that you install the latest version. Here are the steps to clean your machine and install the latest version.

  1. Back up your SQL database.
  2. Uninstall AuditWizard in the Add or Remove Programs control panel.
  3. Navigate to C:\Program Files\. If it exists, delete the AuditWizard v8 folder.
  4. Delete the contents of your network share (but not the share itself).
  5. Navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\
  6. Delete any shortcut to AuditWizard and enclosing folder.
  7. Download the full installer. This is a trial that can be registered.
  8. Install and launch. Register on launch. Cancel the Setup Wizard.
  9. Go to Administration > General > Database Maintenance. Run the Change Database Wizard to reconnect to your SQL database. Restart the application.
  10. Cancel the Setup Wizard. Go to Administration > Auditing > AuditScanner Configuration. Enter the network share path and make any desired changes. Click the Save Configuration and Deploy to Network buttons.
  11. Go to Administration > Auditing > AuditAgent Configuration. Enter the network share path and make any desired changes. Click the Save Configuration button.
  12. Go to Administration > General > AuditWizard Services and configure your AuditWizard Service.
  13. Do a full network discovery.
  14. In Network View, right-click a range of computers and select AuditWizard Agent > Check Status.
  15. Remove the Agent from any computers to which it has been deployed.
  16. Deploy the Agent again to install the latest version of the Agent service.
