Should you need to reinstall for any reason, we recommend that you install the latest version. Here are the steps to clean your machine and install the latest version.

  1. Navigate to C:\Program Files\AuditWizard v8\db\.
  2. Copy the file aw_db.sdf elsewhere as a backup. This is your database file. Omit this step if you are starting with a blank database.
  3. Uninstall AuditWizard in the Add or Remove Programs control panel.
  4. Navigate to C:\Program Files\. If it exists, delete the AuditWizard v8 folder.
  5. Delete the contents of your network share (but not the share itself).
  6. Navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\
  7. Delete any shortcut to AuditWizard and enclosing folder.
  8. Download the full installer. This is a trial that can be registered.
  9. Install.
  10. Navigate to C:\Program Files\AuditWizard v8\db\. Replace aw_db.sdf with your backup. Omit this step if you are starting with a blank database.
  11. Launch. Register on launch. Cancel the Setup Wizard.
  12. Go to Administration > Auditing > AuditScanner Configuration. Enter the network share path and make any desired changes. Click the Save Configuration and Deploy to Network buttons.
  13. Go to Administration > Auditing > AuditAgent Configuration. Enter the network share path and make any desired changes. Click the Save Configuration button.
  14. Go to Administration > General > AuditWizard Services and configure your AuditWizard Service.
  15. Do a full network discovery.
  16. In Network View, right-click a range of computers and select AuditWizard Agent > Check Status.
  17. Remove the Agent from any computers to which it has been deployed.
  18. Deploy the Agent again to install the latest version of the Agent service.
