Should you need to reinstall for any reason, we recommend that you install the latest version. Here are the steps to clean your machine and install the latest version. There are separate steps depending on whether you are using the embedded database or a SQL Server.

Embedded Database

  1. Navigate to C:\Program Files\AuditWizard v8\db\.
  2. Copy the file aw_db.sdf elsewhere as a backup. This is your database file.
  3. Uninstall AuditWizard in the Add or Remove Programs control panel.
  4. Navigate to C:\Program Files\. If it exists, delete the AuditWizard v8 folder.
  5. Delete the contents of your network share (but not the share itself).
  6. Download the full installer. This is a trial that can be registered.
  7. Install. Navigate to C:\Program Files\AuditWizard v8\db\. Replace aw_db.sdf with your backup.
