Overview
A test installation can be created by doing a Clean Reinstallation with a copy of the database on a different server. It's important that you do your testing on a copy of the database and not the live database.
Procedure
- Back up your database to a .bak file.
- Restore the backup to the same or a different SQL Server. If the same server, restore it with a different name.
- Follow the Clean Reinstallation procedure.
