Overview
In rare circumstances when installing on Windows Server 2008 or later, the installer might launch and immediately stop with the message:
The installer was interrupted before Layton ServiceDesk could be installed. You need to restart the installer to try again.
This message is generated if IIS 6 Compatibility has not been set.
Instructions
Windows Server
- Open Server Manager.
- In the left-hand pane, expand Server Manager (SERVER) > Roles and select Web Server (IIS).
- In the right-hand pane under Role Services, scroll down to IIS 6 Management Compatibility.
- If IIS 6 Management Compatibility or any of its related roles are not installed, click the Add Role Services button at the head of the Role Services section.
- Follow the wizard to install IIS 6 Management Compatibility and its related roles.
- Restart the server.
Windows 10
You may be using Windows 10 as a test installation. It is not recommended to host a live installation on a desktop Windows version.
