Overview

This procedure would be used when you need to move only the database to another SQL server.

We highly recommend that you do not commit to the migrated installation until you are sure that the application is working without issues. Consider doing a test installation first.

Procedure

Backup

  1. In Management Studio:
    1. Back up your database.
    2. Restore the database backup to the new SQL Server.

Configuration

  1. Launch Database Tool (DBTool.exe), choose Connect to an existing database and point it to the new database.
