Upgrading

Run the 8.3.1 update on the computer where you have AuditWizard installed and follow the prompts. Once the update is completed, if you are upgrading from 8.1.6 or earlier, you must rebuild and re-deploy the Scanner and Agent (if you are using it) as they have been updated.

Notes:

  • You must be using AuditWizard v8.3.0 or higher to upgrade using the update executable patch. If you are running an earlier version of AuditWizard please contact your local Layton Technology office to obtain the necessary upgrade instructions from earlier versions.
  • Do not uninstall AuditWizard prior to upgrading.
  • To download the patch, you can log into the customer support area on our website.

New & Enhanced Features

  • Enh 910: New Software Report – Application By Location: A new report, Application By Locations, has been developed and is located under the Software Reports drop down list. This report was developed because of issues with Custom Reports listing software for large volumes of data. Now any amount of data can be reported on because the applications are listed down as rows rather than across as columns. Also, applications and locations can be selected so filters are applied when creating the report.
  • Enh 911: Hardware Support Contracts: This is a new feature to manage Hardware Support Contracts, which is very similar to the Software Support Contract facility. Hardware Support Contracts will have the same contract expiry alerts and Dashboard notifications as Software but the big difference is the Contract can be deployed to multiple assets.

Bug Fixes

  • Bug 724: Duplicate assets were reported when using auto-discovery because the Domain was captured as “Unknown”. Subsequently when audited the .ADF file contained the true Domain and so there was no match and a duplicate asset was created.
  • Bug 773: New improved SNMP discovery will now discover all HP printers and other non PC devices with an IP address.
