Upgrading

Run the 8.2.1 update on the computer where you have AuditWizard installed and follow the prompts. Once the update is completed, if you are upgrading from 8.1.6 or earlier, you must rebuild and re-deploy the Scanner and Agent (if you are using it) as they have been updated.

Notes:

  • You must be using AuditWizard v8.1.0 or higher to upgrade using the update executable patch. If you are running an earlier version of AuditWizard please contact your local Layton Technology office to obtain the necessary upgrade instructions from earlier versions.
  • Do not uninstall AuditWizard prior to upgrading.
  • To download the patch, you can log into the customer support area on our website.
  • There are no new features in this version. It's a bug-fix release.

Bug Fixes

  • Bug 639: After 8.2.0 upgrade, loading a configuration in Administration > Auditing > AuditScanner Configuration would result in an exception. This was due to a syntax error in the configuration files. The issue did not affect users who installed the full 8.2 version.
  • Bug 648: "Applies to" filter in user-defined category properties ignored in Network View. E.g., if you created a category specific to Peripherals, you would see that tab for all assets instead of only for assets that were Peripherals.
  • On launch, if a user immediately clicked the Network View tab, then right-clicked in the left-hand pane and selected New Asset, an exception would occur. This has been handled.
